Music Development Plan

Whole School Singing

Whole school singing takes place during assemblies. Children learn to sing different songs linked to PSHE topics and values. The children learn how to sing together in unity, building on their confidence when performing to an audience.

The Music Service

At Leigh, children have the opportunity to learn how to play a selection of different instruments (such as the clarinet, flute and fife). Children have weekly sessions and are also given the opportunity to take the instruments home. A number of different performances are arranged throughout the year, enabling the children to showcase their compositions to their peers and parents.
